Propolis is a natural compound that comes from the sap of evergreens or trees that have needles.  This sap, when combined with the bees discharge and beeswax creates the product that bees use to coat their hives, called propolis. Propolis is believed to contain over 300 compounds which are forms of polyphenols, which are antioxidants which are beneficial to the body.
